RN Service Line Coordinator’s responsibilities include:

Develops and leads performance improvement initiatives related to quality and patient, physician and staff satisfaction. Demonstrates leadership and commitment to excellence in patient care and service. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, develops, maintains and monitors service line practice guidelines, ordersets and clinical pathways based on evidence based medicine. Develops and nurtures collaborative working relationships that create a sense of ownership in the service line with hospitaldepartment leaders, surgeons, neurosurgeons as well as other staff and specialists involved in the care continuum forservice line patients. Monitors patient care outcomes for service line services. Maintains expert knowledge of the service line specialty field Promotes and supports physicians and nursing staff participation in collaborative practice. Represents the service line in the community.Identifies and facilitates the provision of service line education for nursing, allied health personnel and patient/families. Services as a role model, teacher, coach and mentor for the healthcare team and community. Assists with patient and family education and patient satisfaction. Assists with patient flow throughout the care continuum.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • BSN preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years nursing experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years in caring for the surgical service line patient.

  • Must demonstrate problem solving, continuous quality improvement and analytical skills.

  • Ability to write presentations, routine reports and correspondence.

  • Proficient with database and spreadsheet management

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado

  • BLS upon hire or within 30 days

  • Certified in service line specific specialty (Magnet Recognized) within one year of hire.
