In collaboration with other management personnel in the laboratory matrix structure, will be responsible for developing and managing specimen testing processes in the Specialist’s area of expertise. Provides a high level of technical and leadership knowledge and application of that knowledge to testing and clinical relevance. Functions in a self-directed manner, exhibits effective communication and advanced problem solving skills.
What You Bring/Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
5 years MT or MLT experience, including 3 years hospital management
Flexibility to work variable hours and ability to travel
Experience with managing complex programs with accountability for measured outcomes, desirable
BS or BA degree in applied science required
MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification
Certified Histotechnologist or Cytotechnologist, preferred
Physical Requirements - Light Work - exert/lift up to 20 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs frequently)
